This watch was taken off a captured German Dive Bombing Pilot at the end of WWII by my father. The Stowa B-Uhr watch is a watch that has stood the test of time since it was created and was used by German bomber pilots to timer their bombing runs. The watch was a synergy of Swiss and German watch making engineering. Today a good one is probably a great investment as they are sure not making these anymore. This is watch #6108 and has a huge 55mm measurement across the dial.
This watch was fully serviced & restored in 2010 and then stored in a display case. It has the original long strap leather band that went around the pilots heavy jacket or thigh while they performed their missions. This one was taken directly from a captured German pilot surrendering to the Americans at the end of WWII.It is in beautiful condition and would be a great addition to any watch collection or collection of WWII memorabilia.
