This is a very rare, original three photo sequence taken during WW2 on November 25, 1944, off the coast of Luzon. It shows the moment when a Japanese A6M Zero crashes into the flight deck of USS Intrepid (CV-11) killing 69 men.

This was the first of 2 strikes within 5 minutes of each other. Unfortunately, there is at least one photo missing from this sequence.

It shows the Zero at the height of the center tower just before impact. I've included that image in the above photos as reference. These amazing shots were taken aboard the battleship USS New Jersey (BB-62). A rogue Zero can be seen in the upper right corner of the first photo. Ironically, the USS Intrepid now sits on the Hudson River about the same distance from New Jersey as it did in this photo.

These are type 2 images developed some time in the 1950's or 60's. They have been UV tested and do not glow. Condition is very good, please study images. Guaranteed to be 100% original and authentic.
