The letter is from the 2nd Reconnaissance Squadron, which also operated in the Pacific theater. One of the photos shows the 2nd's "Photo Charting" insignia hanging between palm trees in Palawan.Other subjects include children and adults, landscapes, coastal views, indigenous people, the Iwahig Penal Colony, an outrigger with a sail made from an American parachute, etc. It's unknown whether any of these photos have been published or if there are other surviving copies.
