Pre-WWII Original US Marine Corps USMC Square Point Machete - Marked: Disston w/Leather Scabbard - Excellent Condition - RARE. Up for sale is a pre-WWII Era Original US Marine Corps USMC Disston Square Point Machete with Leather Scabbard. This machete is marked: Disston & Sons, USA. It has an 11.5" long blade, overall length 16.5", with bright blade and wooden grips. The blade is used, see photo's for Condition, no rust or pitting.

There are a no nicks and chips in the blade. Some discoloration of the blade. It does show minor evidence of sharpening. The wooden handle is in good condition, no chips or breaks.

This is the early verison machete with the one piece wooden handle with a steel furrel. This machete probably dates back to the late 1930's. The scabbard is correct square point scabbard with canvas body with leather tip and throat with a brass cap. The leather is still soft and supple. The scabbard is used, see photo's for Condition.

A Excellent Collectble pre-WWII Vintage Machete. Disston marked Machetes are VERY RARE, especially with the original scabbard. Cole Book, "The Best of US Military Knifes, Bayonets and Machetes". This would make a great accessory to add to your WWII collection. Check out my other items.
