Rare Vintage WWII Era Star Watch Case Co. Plotting Machine AN-5748

This Star Watch Case Co. Plotting Machine is an authentic WWII-era navigational plotter used by aircraft navigators to plan, plot, and track their course along a chart. This plotter would have been affixed to a navigator's map table and laid upon the map of the flight plan, typically in a large aircraft. This kit includes the plotter (a protractor with base), a straight edge, a mounting clamp, an extra tension band, and the original owners manual and wooden case. This plotter is in used condition (Please See Photos for Condition).

In spite of being almost 80yr old everything seems to function properly. The original wooden case has a large crack in the top (as seen in pic 7). Although it is a large crack, the lid to the case still seems sturdy and doesn't seem like it's falling apart or hanging by a thread at all. The case measures 23.25" X 9.125" X 3.5.
