Along with the medals is a retirement signed poster when he worked at the Defense intelligence agency. From what I can tell the following medals are included.

Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, The Air Medal, Military Merit, Meritorious service, American Campaign, Asia - Pacific, WW 2 Victory, National Defense, Armed Forces Expeditionary service, Republic of Vietnam service, Vietnam 1960 medal. And others as seen in photos. Major, (Ret) George Glover Mays 87, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at home with his family.

George was born in Monticello, FL, in April of 1926. He served in the Marine Corps during WW II. During this time George was part of the 6th Marine Division serving in the Pacific Theater and was present in Landing Day on the island of Okinawa.

He later served in the US Army, after graduating from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. There he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and Army ROTC. George obtained the rank of Major during his Army career. He also served 2 tours in Vietnam. Please review photos for condition.

With all jewelry with stones, stones sizes and amounts are figured by calculation. (for an accurate total, you would have to remove the stones from the settings) During measurements there is some degree of calculation, so it is an approximation.

In regards to our time pieces watches, clocks etc. We verify the condition when they leave our office and will be stated as working or not working. All working watches may still need to be professionally cleaned/serviced in order to keep time accurately.

Each of our time pieces are vintage and used to a different degree. Please see all the photos and read entire description. If I'm unaware, I cannot help & resolve the issue. Your satisfaction is the only way to our success and I will do my best to keep it that way. After that it will go by weight.
