Rare WWII Japanese NCO Sword, Copper Handle

Sorry for any confusion caused from re-listing this but needed to revise it. Here is an opportunity to acquire a rare sword at a discounted price while it lasts.

There will be no more reductions. For sale is a rare WWII Japanese NCO sword with a copper (not brass) handle or tsuka and matching numbered scabbard. Most NCO swords have aluminum handles but the initial run of "10,000" or so during the first year of production in 1935. Had cast copper handles with very detailed wrap and menukis, much more so than the aluminum ones. Condition on this one is exceptional and it was left untouched, well preserved. After nearly 90 years the copper handle has taken on a beautiful deep patina which is very desirable since many were polished by owners wanting to spruce them up. This one has a beautiful blade and looks as if it was never issued or used.

This is not one of the current Asian imported brass handled fakes and has original, authentic stamped original markings of the Suya Sword Mfg. These marks are faked on the repros, either stamped or laser engraved, but they are not identical to these. The serial number in the high 13,000 range is the highest I have seen since most copper handled swords are numbered 0001-10,000 or so. It is no doubt original, as is the matching numbered scabbard with original paint and standard drag.

The blade is free of rust, nicks or major scratches and overall condition of this sword is exceptional--I have not cleaned it other than keeping the blade clean and oiled with choji. The lanyard is a very well made reproduction. The blade, seppa, brass tsuba are tight and the scabbard catch works properly. Please study the photos carefully so you know exactly what you will receive. There should be no need to upgrade if you are looking for the ultimate NCO sword in outstanding untouched condition.
