Extremely Rare and Seldom Encountered Dutch WWII NJS Jeugdstorm Knife. This item comes directly from an estate to the market for the first time. Carl Eickhorn A-Series Knife (Serial number A339 stamped on the cross guard).The blade is etched with the motto Moed Eer en Trouw and the Original Eickhorn Solingen logo on the reverse side. Only Carl Eickhorn produced this knife. Condition: The blade shows wear and sharpening, but no pitting (please see photos for details).
The is is some grease present on the blade. The blade has the original leather washer. The grips are made of original celluloid plastic with light gray stripes. The grips are firmly attached. The handle retains the original NJS seabird emblem, which is firmly attached.
The emblem has some enamel loss. The cross guard (which is magnetic) is marked with the serial number A339. The nickel plated finish shows some wear, but it is mostly present. The wear is mostly limited to the raised edges.The scabbard shows some paint loss and rust. The leather strap that secures the knife has a crack near the fastening button, but it does not affect the functionality of the strap.
