This is a rare glazed BOTAY, K. MO pottery "Cents 4 Defense" WWII piggy bank. As shown it s 4-3/4 x 4 inches and about 3-1/2 inches tall.
It shows a pig crying tears and on the backside of the pig is Hitler's face. It also says "AMARILLO FIELD, TEXAS" on the backside as shown in photos. The yellowish color is under the glaze so I believe it is just in the clay as there is no crazing or cracks or chips. The hole in the foot is normal for these pigs that were made with different locations written on the pig. This has been put away safely for many years. It belonged originally to my late father-in-law and my late husband had it in his office.
