WW2 AN 6531 Willson Sunglasses Type 1 lens Original Case Very Rare

Early Model AN-6531 Willson Aviator Sunglasses - Type 1 lens - Original case. "W" marked frames, unmarked lenses. Most AN-6531 in their contemporary frame will be Bausch and Lomb or American Optical, with a smattering of Rochester Optical. Willson had adopted a unique frame with different size lenses, which it used well into the 50s. They made a few of the contemporary AN-6531 and these are those.

These are in OK condition. Structurally sound but with a ton of character and patina. The forehead sweat bar has some age cracking. Right lens has small stress chipping by the nose pad. Left lens has some dings, and both have minor scratching.

Frames are old and could use some gentle tightening and attending to. The original case is worn, but the leather is still supple. The snap however, is loose.
