Original WWII Era US Army M1938 Leather Rifle Scabbard w/Straps &Hooks for M1 Carbine - Marked: US JQMD 1944 - Very Nice Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWII Era US Army M1938 Leather Rifle Scabbard w/Straps & Hooks for the M1 Carbine. The leather is soft and supple.

The leather has darkened with age, but still retains that rich russett brown color. All the stitching is still intact. The end plug is still present.

Some surface cracks on the straps. It is marked: US JQMD 1944. Markings are readable and visible. The item is used, please see photo's for condition. Rare to find one in this condition.

This scabbard was most commonly mounted on WWII era GPW or MB Jeeps, Trucks & WLA Harley-Davidson Motorcycle to carry the weapons. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display.
