WWII German Army Rare Dove Head Hilt Sword-Matching Numbered, waffenamted

This very well marked and numbered Eickhorn sword has full logo under the crossguard shield and is hard to see it even with a flashlight. It appears to be the 1936 pattern logo. It is waffenamted twice on brass handle, twice on the bottom of crossguard and twice on the scabbard throat and tip of drag. It is numbered 2252 and C.

/38 on both bottom of crossguard and sides of of black anodized scabbard. Numbered and waffenamted swords are reported to be for Ordnance officers. Handle and crossguard are tight and leather finger tab is present but in fragile condition.

Blade is bright and last 1/4 shows much in/out wear and there are old coagulated oil spots. Spine of blade is marked "2".

Blade is 31.5" and overall 38.25"The sword shows wear, age and tarnish. Scabbard has some wear and a bit of very thin old surface rust near tip. Early swords with this many proofs and markings are rare.
