Nice World War II fixed bale Front Seam helmet with Original Westinghouse molded plastics Camouflaged liner. OD paint on Helmet in Great shape and looks original though it may have been repainted by the military. I do not see any lot numbers or makers stamps on inside of Helmet. It is marked with a W in Crown which is the. Internal webbing is in Condition pictured, It has a one tear and the leather clip in headband is lose and has condition issues and has a tear through in one section. The Webbing in this liner can likely be. Webbing to bring its condition back if so desired. The Circular Donut Tie in Crown of Liner is Missing. Chinstraps are in good condition with some staining as can be seen in the pics. Liner Has the Westinghouse camo pattern to the paint. Based on two examples pictured in this book, This Liner is Definitely one of These Liners which I think Makes it quite Desirable and a a lot Rarer than a Standard Liner!! From Another Write up about these Liners US Army troops battled the Japanese in tough jungle fighting in the Solomons, and on Bougainville and New Guinea. A specially designed factory camouflaged M-1 helmet liner was developed by Westinghouse to provide concealment for the jungle trooper when wearing the liner by itself. Very few of these jungle camo helmet liners were produced, and even fewer survive, making them an extremely rare WW2 collectible to encounter today. Most of these Liners were Probably used By the Marines in the Pacific.

I don't think I got this in a surplus store, Just reminiscing!! When I First Listed this Helmet and Chinstrap I had no idea That the Liner was a Rarer.

I felt it should be written up properly so I took it down and have relisted it!
