This recent find is from the estate of a retired NASA Aerospace Contract Engineer who worked with IBM during his career Mainly on the Saturn IBM computer ring starting in 1964. These materials belonged to his second wife, Myra Eleanor Armstrong, who attended the Chicago School of Aircraft Instrument as a 24-25 year old "WAVES" (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) she was a part of their second graduating class. WAVES became the wartime United States Naval Reserve (Women's Reserve).Materials include a HOMEFRONT PATCH and binder full of class materials with some being stamped "RESTRICTED" along with handwritten notes and worksheets THERE are also some hand drawn pictures/notes for a ARMY squadron letter home to children.
